If you decided to come to Thailand for just mainly vacation, this blog is not for you. When you arrived, you are given a tourist visa good for around a month to spend all the savings you got from your country.
HOWEVER, If you decided to call this vacation destination, your second home, you better do alot of research before you get here.
Thailand has strict laws in letting foreigners stay permanently in this land of smiles. If you are retired with nice pension in the bank and have big amount of social security money transfer into your account every month, again, this blog is not for you. You are the few people who would not have much problem living in this country.
NOW, for those of you who wants to work and live here, beware... The easiest way to avoid the hassle is for you to secure a Thai job from your homeland before arriving to Thailand. Therefore, you can submit your Non-B immigrant visa to the Thai embassy in your homeland country and you will be given a visa for 90 days. Ninety days will be enough time for your company to complete your work permit process.
If you are like many others who decided to "wing it." Especially, since most teaching jobs in Thailand are not in the "job classified" section, you will have a better chance to secure a school that is closer to your apartment and provides good pay.
Once you find the school, you will have to do the "VISA RUN" to Thailand's neighbor...next post,I will explain in details on my experience with this trip.
